ACI-NA defends airspace use

Airports Council International – North America (ACI-NA) has filed an amicus brief in the U.S. Supreme Court in support of the Clark County Aviation Department in an attempt to overturn a lower court decision. The lower court awarded a landowner over US$16 million after it found that aircraft flying below 500 feet over the landowner’s property were in effect taking that property, an action that required compensation.

ACI-NA managed the preparation of the amicus brief, which was jointly filed by the Air Transport Association, the Air Line Pilots Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the National Business Aviation Association and the Regional Airlines Association.
