Alteon opens Singapore center
Alteon Training, a wholly owned subsidiary of Boeing, has opened its Singapore Training Center near Changi International Airport. The three-storey facility is the largest aviation training center in the entire Asia-Pacific region, and houses seven full flight simulator bays. The center also hosts a cabin emergency evacuation trainer and other high-tech training equipment such as flat-panel trainers (FPTs). The facility covers approximately 7,000 sq meters, has the capability to train more than 6,000 pilots, mechanics and flight attendant students per year, and contains six classrooms and two computer-based-training rooms.
