Joseph In Albon helped make Swissport International a global leader in the market
In Albon leaves Swissport International
Swissport International has announced the departure of president and CEO Joseph In Albon, to “take on a new professional challenge” (perhaps we’ll know what it is by the time the next GI e-news goes out!). Santiago Olivares, a member of the organization’s board of directors, will fill the position on an interim basis. In Albon will stay on as a member of the Swissport board.
In Albon assumed overall management responsibility for Swissport International (then known as Swissair Ground Services) and its three destinations of Zurich, Basel and Geneva in 1996. In ten years he helped steer the organization to a global leadership position, with 180 stations in 42 countries operating under the Swissport name.
