ARINC expands CUSS footprint at Narita
For a second time in a year, ARINC Inc. has signed a major contract to install common-use self-service (CUSS) kiosks for international passengers at Terminal 1 of Japan’s Narita International Airport. The company will install its enhanced SelfServ CUSS kiosk technology, which features Java functionality. The contract was awarded by member airlines of the Narita Terminal 1 North CLUB, and provides for 126 CUSS kiosks in the terminal’s north wing. The project closely matches the 126 CUSS kiosks that ARINC is now installing in the terminal’s south wing. ARINC says that the two contracts are the largest single deployments of CUSS kiosks ever commissioned in the Asia-Pacific region.
ARINC has also won a competitive tender to provide IT, security and telecommunications systems at the New Doha International Airport, which is currently under construction in the capital of Qatar. And the company is in the process of installing 92 CUSS kiosks at Terminal 1 of Pearson International Airport in Toronto.
