Mumbai-based full-service airline Jet Airways has partnered with Brussels Airlines to base European operations at Brussels (Zaventem) International Airport. The airline will use the hub to anchor connections between India and Europe, Africa and North America. Jet will launch daily services from Mumbai to New York (Newark) via Brussels in August, to be followed later this year by daily services from Delhi through Brussels to Toronto. Ultimately, Jet says that it plans to operate a total of ten daily flights from India to North American cities through Zaventem. Jet has signed a memorandum of understanding with Brussels Airlines to implement codesharing, frequent flyer programs and transit check-in facilities. |
